Modification Creation
Modelling Modelling of landscapes, objects, items, weapons and figures is possible in the 3D Studio Max programme. Thanks to the PteroCollette plug-ins, it is possible to export modelled objects into the editor.
The Editor
The editor is a tool in which terrains and objects (like houses, trees, barriers, etc.) are being placed together, and the scene (or map/mission) is being created in this way. The current version of the freely downloadable editor allows you to create multiplayer maps without the possibility of adding new weapons or figures. In the future versions of the editor you will have:
- Support for creating cooperative multiplayer missions
- Support for creating single player missions
Scripting It is possible to use the general script on a complete multiplayer mission or you can program your own rules as well. In the future, it will be possible to script AI behaviour in COOP and single player missions and to create much more complicated modifications.
A detailed description of modelling, working with the editor and scripting can be found in the help file (included with the editor).
You can download the current version of the editor and the MAX plug-ins here.
