Beta Tester Requirements
PTERODON is currently looking for new beta testers, which are members of known Vietcong clans or are active at the official PTERODON forum. The conditions are that you are available at the European evening hours and that you are willing to beta test new multiplayer maps, which are created by PTERODON.
If you are interested in becoming an external beta tester for PTERODON, then please write your name, your nationality and your e-mail address, information about your computer specifications, information about your Internet connection and how long you have been playing Vietcong. Also note that it is required to be registered at the official PTERODON forum to get accepted as a beta tester.
The first beta test will be starting at 20:00 CET on Friday, the 20th of August 2004. There, we will be beta testing a vast multiplayer map, which has support for 64 players.
You need to have an original copy of the Vietcong game that is updated to the latest version, which is v1.60. Before the beta tests, you will also need to download approximately 400 MB of data from the PTERODON server.
Please note that the beta testing is voluntary and that you should agree keeping all of the data and information secret. Misuse or publishing will lead to an immediate kick of the beta testing team.
You can send in your application by using the PTERODON Help Desk, in which we will only answer applicants who have been accepted to the beta test team.
